Caleido turns 3

Overview

Founded in 2021 by the creative duo Barbieri Magalini, Caleido Diary serves as an editorial tool to investigate, through interviews, the most significant creative themes. Now in its 36th edition, Caleido Diary has covered 36 topics of conversation, each accompanied by a digital cover, featuring over 100 conversations with leading creatives in architecture, art, fashion, design, cuisine, and music. These include names like Philippe Starck, Patricia Urquiola, Nina Yashar (Nilufar Gallery), Formafantasma, Martino Gamper, Bethan Laura Wood, Matali Crasset, David/Nicolas, Federica Sala, Karime Lopez (Gucci Osteria), Sara Maino, Marco Assaggia, Lilli Hollein, Matteo Ward, Lidewij Edelkoort, Sunnei, and many others. The result is an ever-evolving cultural investigation, disseminated monthly via a newsletter and always accessible through the Caleido website. It serves as a kaleidoscopic observatory of the world of creativity, curated by MM Company.

MM Company

Caleido’s insights have been a valuable tool for MM Company, aiding in understanding the evolution of contemporary society, fueling creativity, and enrich the panoramic vision around the value of made in Italy, to project it into the future. This has led to both conceptual and practical consequences: generating creative projects for our clients that align with market needs, informed by analysis, exploration, curiosity, and collaboration.

THE THREE SOULS OF CALEIDO

Over the past three years, this spirit has shaped the Caleido project, adding a new mission: in addition to investigating contemporary society through Diary Conversations, actively promoting the culture of design and creativity. This is achieved through the creation of a Collection (which gathers and narrates the stories of objects, furnishings – some self-produced – and artworks with high cultural value from artistic, design, and manufacturing perspectives) and the organization of vivial symposia (meetings, dinners, events, exhibitions, and special projects among creatives – including in the spaces of Casa Caleido – to foster dialogue around the culture of design and creativity, promote its high values, and enhance personal and professional connections).

Thus, Caleido represents a true community of creative minds, active in the fields of fashion, design, and related areas, constantly seeking new cultural stimuli to intercept the evolutions of contemporary society and transform them into ideas and projects of value.
